Bought it new when it came out (March of 2012,  wow, doesn't seem that long), and it's been trucking along fine for years now knocking out great prints.  A couple years back I build a corexy c-bot, and its 12x12x20" build volume has been great:  Thinking about experimenting with a large-scale delta, and need to raise some capital, plus I don't have space for 3 printers.
Otherwise stock.

Any ideas for a decent price?  I have a couple guys at work that have been waiting to buy it from me, but I'm out of touch for what something like this would go for now.

I sold mine in my local makerspace for $500.

$500 seems fair for a functional but fairly old and gently used and refurbished machine. Though, I would never sell my Rep 1. It's my only dual extruder machine (which I notice you don't have, but still), and it's the only machine I have where you can specify where to pause in the Z-axis while printing, I've modded it for flexables, and 1000 other things. No way I'd sell this machine.

It's not that I want to, it's that I just need to make room and raise some cash.  It's been fantastic bot, there's no negative reasons I want to sell it, and I've used that pause at Z-height firmware options many times ;)

Thanks for the feedback, but will take any more that's out there.

Just for comparison, these were the upgrades on mine.
Added a standard 12v 30A rated PSU to the base (there is plenty of room not unlike many FlashForge and Wanhao clones) instead of the external power brick
Upgraded the heated bed wiring using Deans RC connectors an heavier wiring
Added a glass bed
Changed to my wide 4 corner leveling mod (it just moves the long screws to the 4 far corners of the bed and then aluminum plate is used as a subplate so that basically all the orginal mounting holes to the Z axis arm assembly is used).
Cicoil flex wire for the X axis cables and revised routing to prevent that common X axis cable failure.
Regulator mod on original mainboard
Pillow block bearings added on front and rear Y axis torsion shafts.
Extruders upgraded to use Wanhao spring loaded lever arms and sharp tooth drive gears.
New high quality fans installed.
Tab style insulated thermocouples installed

I was in the same boat that I absolutely did not want to get rid of this printer, but was really collecting dust. Better that someone gets to use it and get more life out of it and it should last for a very long time.
The market place is flooded with cheap machines and expectations are down, few people really appreciate what these machines are being the original and not the copy.

Just for comparisons sake... I do NOT feel at all that way about my early FFC. The FFC was the 1st Rep1 clone. Rickity clunky, crapo extruder. Unacceptable prints... It is a POS.  My son wanted it thought so I gave it to him. He likes it. My original Rep2 OTOH... I would never sell it.

And sold, $500..  A bit bittersweet, this is the machine that got me into this hobby.  But a coworker is super stoked to get it (3dp is all new to them).  Happy to give it to someone who's excited about it.

It's being replaced with a Tevo Little Monster kit: Something completely different.  I plan to swap out the MKS Sbase board (& Smoothie) for a DuetEthernet (+ RepRap Firmware):  Thing should be sweet!

Nice price. Didn't exactly give it to them... It might feel like it though give what you probably paid for a genuine Makerbot product. How much did they sell for originally? $1500?

That's why the FlashForge and Wanhao gained such market share even though early ones were not without problems.
You could buy 2 FlashForge printers for the cost of one genuine MakerBot, and meanwhile know that the Replicator original might blow the $500 mainboard due to a regulator.

Wow, ya the early Flashforges were 1200 or so. But then I think CTC and Wanhao undercut them by 3-400.

Then the original Rep 1 needed at least a platform upgrade and pillow blocks?

I think I paid around $1750 for it at the time.  Seemed great! :)
