I just stumbled on this group - if anyone is still around I have ported Klipper firmware to the Rep2 and Rep2x (as well as some clones that use the same ADC chip). If anyone is interested check out https://github.com/dockterj/klipper

It's plug and play at this point. All you need is a raspberry pi to host Klipper on.
