Hey everyone,

after my old extruder had a few problems, I got a replacement extruder from Fargo3DPrinting. So far so good, my printer printed again which was awesome but I recognized that the thermal barriers hole was a lot bigger on the new one than the OEM one.

Now what happens is that all my prints fail towards the end as the printer just starts to do Airprints at like 98%. It feels as the nozzle is blocked and there's not enough filament coming through.
Apart from that, this can be seen when I try to do another print as my nozzle is blocked then. The Filament is stuck in the spring loaded between the part where the spring loaded drive connects with the thermal barrier. It seems as the filament stucks there as it has become a little bit thicker.

I'll try to post some pictures later. Does someone have any idea where this comes from?!

Thanks

Here's a picture about of a "failed" print. Everything is good except the end.

I figured out what it is! It's definitely the wider ThermalBarrier.

I was able to get the original Thermalbarrier working again and everything works fine.

It's quite unfortunate that the quality of the part I received from Fargo3D is unusable ...
