Need advise to bring maker bot frm US to India

Hi friends,

I am in US now and thinking of buying maker bot. What you guys suggest. Should I buy in us and bring with me or come to India and get it shipped? Which will be cheaper, and safer and hassel free..?

I think getting the parts with you when you come to India would be definitely cheaper and reliable option...

From the view of safety of the handling during shipping, shipping
duration and customs clearance it would be easier to take it
personally. The last I checked you still would need to pay relevant
customs duty even if you hand carry it.

If you are not already aware: the makerbot replicators now ship fully
assembled. Not as easy as it was earlier, that you would just assemble
it on getting to India.
