Hello.
I got my MakerBot, and I built it all. It works perfect the nema motors moves, everything is going in the correct direction. But here is the problem, the MK5 extruder won't work. I got it all soldered up, I connected everything up to the Relay Board. And when I turn on the bot, with the latest version on both the mother board, and the extruder board, it read the temperature as 63632°c which is not correct. And the nozzle want to heat up. I guess it because its thinking it already hot. The thermostat is not shorted out because I checked it, and rechecked it. The cables on the nozzle are connected correctly because I checked it with the multimeter.
Please try and help me, that the only thing keeping me from printing out my first design.
Thank you!

You should post your support question in the makerbot google group
rather than the makerbot educators google group.

Is your thermistor properly installed? If it's shorting out, it could
be giving you those bogus readings...

Yes I tried that, and I'm going to try it again in a sec.
But still. I think its the software problem.

Hi DLPlanes,

It sounds like there might be a problem with your thermistor or with your extruder controller.

You should try posting about your problem on the MakerBot Operators mailing list.  It's full of experienced MakerBot users who can help you debug your problem.

Well, if it was correct with the default power supply, you should
probably figure out what you did and get a patent, quick. +63k°c is
pretty warm.

Maybe but probably not.. Did you check/update your thermistor
settings? http://wiki.makerbot.com/firmware-preferences and
http://wiki.makerbot.com/adjusting-the-thermistor-settings.

I'll 3rd (or so) the suggestion to head to the other google group..

Alright those were the settings I was looking, I'm going to try them. And then if it works (which I'm positive it will) I'll let you know and thank you for resolving my problem!
Anyways
Thank you!
