Hi ,

I found myself tired of greasing the plastic Idler on the MakerBot R2X so I found a way to machine an Aluminum GT2-16T gear and press bearings in to it.
Also i happened to over grease one time and found that the grease made its way onto the belt and then onto the Build Plate .3 Idlers were sent out to members of the MBOF
The Idler was well tested and has been working flawlessly .Also this Idler may fit other printers that has a similar X-End possibly FF and others.

As of now the Idler has been tested on MakerBot 2X with Stock X-End and also Carl's ALU X-End .
The ALU GT2-16T with bearings installed also comes with a 4mm dia 304ss shaft to fit the need of the X-End used and the shaft can  be cut to any length needed .

For more information here is my website http://www.almgear.com/ you can also email if you have any other questions.

 Thank You , Al
