Hello Duane,

I am trying to print the parts for the slider, but my printer is not very optimized, so I am having mixed results. In general I am having to tweak a lot with the scad files to get the right sizes. I have a couple of questions for the idler part:

1) The parts just snap together, right? The holes in the idler frame flanges are, I guess for tensioner screws, right?

2) For the idler parts that go attached to the rail, I am having problems finding screws of the proper length on one part, but the worst part is that I only have the "T-nuts" that came with the maker-slide nuts that fit into the rail, and the two holes in each side of the bracket are too close to fit two of this nuts together. Do you have a  scad version of the  "idler_bracket_ms.stl", so I can modify and enlarge that part of the piece?

3) Finally, I am using the previous version of the motor mount that used screws, since I am not able to print a good enough one of the latest version that would fit into my rail!

Thanks.

Arturo

1) yes, they just fit together, and the holes (with hexagonal space for nuts) are for bolts to tension the belt.
2) I believe the idler_bracket.scad is the source of idler_bracket_ms.stl. Just uncomment the alternative lines of code to produce that.
3) Good to know. Thanks!

Duane

Sorry for not reporting back... I had an accident while playing soccer and have been for almost a month now unable to walk...

I successfully built the slider, using this software for control: http://www.schweinert.com/blog/files/e86ad946b790d29e72a6c09544ce7b37-5.html

Once I am fully recovered I will share some photos and details... still looking for flanged nuts for the tripod adapters, though :(

Thanks for all!
