Maker Faires in KC

Please understand that the "concept" for a Maker Faire started more than 4 years ago within the organization of Make: KC and that the first, ever, Maker Faire (a Mini Maker Faire) was held in Parkville 4 years ago and it pulled more visitors than the first fair at Union Station. The KF actually helped fund that first fair. The fourth annual fair will be held, again, this August in Parkville. I invite the KF to once again get on board and help fund and promote it and to promote the Maker spirit.

The Kauffman Foundation / Union Station exhibits a troubling disregard or lack of appreciation for the hackerspace/makerspace culture where promoting attribution of others work is deeply engrained
