[Make A Difference Club]

Hey everyone! So once again, I've had two events out available for sign ups for a while now (Nike Marathon and Memory Walk) and so now I am setting a deadline for sign ups. The last day to sign up, with no exceptions is Friday, Sept 19.

Here's the info once again:

PLEASE SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER!! THE MORE VOLUNTEERS WE HAVE, THE MORE THEY WILL PAY US, MEANING THE BETTER OUR END OF THE SEMESTER PARTY WILL BE!

Sorry to disappoint all officer applicants, but this semester we have decided to just keep the same officers as last semester due to too few applications submitted.  Underclassmen will have an opportunity to become an officer next semester. Oh we still need one more club representative. This person has to have 14/15 lunch and be responsible as they have to attend the club rep meetings every other Tuesday where they talk about updates and such. The meetings are for the most parts pretty short, maybe 15 minutes. So if you want to be club rep, please reply back with a few sentences why you should be chosen.

NEW EVENT!!!!!!!!

GIRLS ON THE RUN 2008

Date: Saturday, October 11th

Time: 8am-11am

Location: 30th Ave & Kennedy Drive, Lindley Meadow, a quarter of a mile East of Polo Fields in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, CA 94117

Event details: Volunteers will help with water stops and course monitoring. Teams of four runners from one company compete in a relay race on scenic dirt paths and grassy meadows in Golden Gate Park to win round-trip tickets to Tokyo for all four members of three winning teams--12 tickets! Each runner runs 2 miles; each team completes 8 miles. Companies can field co-ed or open teams of four employees.

So for this event, I need 10-15 volunteers. No more than 15 so it's first come first serve. Reply back ASAP if you want to attend.
