Water well and composting toilet

In an effort to disconnect from expensive city utilities and be a bit more self sufficient we are thinking of replacing our old five gallon per flush toilet with a composting toilet.  We're not even sure if they are legal in Houston.  We are also investigating drilling our own water well for our garden and possibly to replace city (smell the chlorine?)  water in our home. We are members of the Make it Green group and live across the street from Brian.  We would welcome the group's participation in our research and possible transition to both of these alternative utilities. We can discuss it at the meeting on the 31st and online.  Please feel free to send us questions and comments.
