Hi folks, sorry for the long silence. This is just to let you know
that the annual Makar Press Poetry Picnic will be taking place in the
Walled Garden of Culzean Country Park, Ayrshire on Sunday 3rd June
from 12 pm to 2 pm.
There would be a wet weather alternative if that proved necessary
(although we're usually pretty lucky weather-wise). The last time it
was wet we were in the auditorium at the Visitor Centre. If that has
to be the case this year (although we hope not!) then they usually
tell you so as you arrive at the entry gates.
As usual, this entertaining event is part of the Burns an' all that!
Festival programme.
It's free, but normal National Trust for Scotland entry fees apply to
get into the property itself.
As many of you know already, It's very informal - you can arrive at
any time over the two hour period and settle down to munch on your
sandwiches (or whatever you normally put in your picnic!) while we
entertain you with bursts of poetry. We'll also bring you up to speed
with all the interesting developments with the Makar Presss poets
(e.g. new books!).
It should be a great event, so do please join us. We shall hope to
see you out in force!

Best wishes,
Rowena, Sheila and Michael
