Hi everyone,

I am trying to run voila view locally on my mac. I set up a virtual environment and everything is running well until I get to the last step where it is supposed to produce the "serving on:" and then show the server link. It freezes on saving cache or using cache step. Anyone have any insight into how to fix this? I attached the screenshot below.

Hello,

May you please try running voila with the switch $ -p 5005 (or any other port number) ; and then go to your web browser and enter "http://localhost:5005" (replace with chosen port number) ?  I have sometimes seem a terminal rendering issue where the server is running properly, but the "serving on" line is not printed to the terminal.

Please let me know if this properly shows voila or not.

Thanks!
-San

Hi San,

Thank you for your reply. I tried that and was able to access the page but there is no data loaded. Please see screenshot below.

Best,
Arielle

Hi Arielle,

This is a strange issue that I've not seen before. In general this would seem to mean that no LSVs were detected. Could you post the output of the $ psi-coverage command you ran? It should say some log at the end like:

Assessing coverage for Events[227 events, 637 connections] on SpliceGraph[11 contigs, 20 genes, 432/114/562 exons/introns/junctions]
Saving PsiCoverage[637] for 1 experiments [workshop_Adr3] to .psicov

It's also possible that you mistakenly input the annotation splicegraph file to the psicoverage command, instead of the splicegraph that was build as a result of the majiq-v3 build command. This would cause there to be no events detected.

If you see zeros in those log print lines above, that's likely what happened, otherwise, I might need to investigate deeper into your dataset.

Let me know what you find from the log.

Thanks,
-San
