Hey all, just wondering if anyone has had any experience with the Unity courses on Udemy recently? It looks like Unity have an official course, but there are also courses that have a much higher load of students and reviews. In particular, I'm trying to decide between this highly reviewed course and this official Unity course.
Ben started his courses on Udemy a couple of years ago. When more and more students got interested in his content, he created this platform. Since he cannot ask everybody on Udemy to create a new account elsewhere, he, the other GameDev.tv instructors and we GameDev.tv teaching assistent are still active on Udemy.
On both platforms, we aim to answer questions within 48h during the week, so there is no need for you to switch to Udemy unless you prefer their limited Q&A section over an actual forum. The courses are the same on boths platforms.
This course will teach you what you need to know in order to make a 2D sprite based game in Unity editor version 5.6 (Latest Beta version at this time). The techniques used in this series are the same ones I used to make my own game Heart Battle for PC and mobile devices. Currently the course in in progress, it will be completed in the coming month and should be updated from time to time with new relevant content after that as well. The rough finished course list should look something like this when done.
