1. Choose a hotspot device or hotspot plan: AT&T offers dedicated mobile hotspot devices, like the Netgear Nighthawk, or you can use the hotspot feature on your AT&T smartphone. Make sure you have a compatible data plan that supports hotspot usage.

2. Activate the hotspot: If you're using a dedicated hotspot device, follow the manufacturer's instructions to set it up and activate it with AT&T. If you're using your smartphone, go to the settings menu, find the "Personal Hotspot" or "Mobile Hotspot" option, and enable it.

3. Connect your devices: Once your hotspot is active, it will create a Wi-Fi network. On the devices you want to connect, search for available Wi-Fi networks, select your hotspot's network name (SSID), and enter the password if required.

5. Secure your hotspot: To protect your connection, make sure your hotspot is password-protected and uses strong encryption, like WPA2. You can usually configure these settings through the hotspot device's management interface or your smartphone's settings menu.

AT&T hotspot devices work by connecting to the AT&T cellular network and converting the cellular data signal into a Wi-Fi signal that can be used by Wi-Fi enabled devices. Here's a general overview of how AT&T hotspot devices work:

3. Device connection: Wi-Fi enabled devices, such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops, can connect to the hotspot's Wi-Fi network by selecting the network name (SSID) and entering the password, if required.

4. Internet access: Once connected, the devices can access the internet using the data from the AT&T cellular network. The hotspot device acts as a bridge between the cellular network and the connected devices, allowing them to communicate with the internet.

The Nighthawk mobile hotspot, specifically, is a portable device that provides fast and reliable internet connectivity by connecting to a cellular network and creating a Wi-Fi network for other devices to access.

The Nighthawk hotspot offers advanced features like long battery life, multiple device connections, and robust security options, making it a popular choice for users seeking a powerful and reliable mobile internet solution.

Mobile hotspots are a great way to connect all of your devices to the internet with a single data plan. These devices work by connecting to the AT&T wireless network and then broadcasting out a Wi-Fi signal. It's like having a home internet connection that you can take with you wherever you go.

A mobile hotspot is a device that connects to a wireless network in the same way that a smartphone does. It then uses that connection to broadcast a Wi-Fi signal and provide wireless internet to nearby devices.

If the iPhone is returned to the Personal Hotspot Settings page, unlocked, and on the iPad, under the WiFi Setting page and Choose a Network Other is again selected, only the name of the iPhone needs to be entered and the iPad will reconnect (annoying but better than no hotspot).

If my hotspot drops off then reconnects I get no internet access until I manually turn off NVPN. I can turn NVPN on again, manually, but this is tedius and unsatisfactory. Are there some settings I can adjust so NVPN permits internet access when recovering from a temporary hotspot drop out?

Something to look into. On the tablet, open the My Norton interface and click/tap on the down arrow beside Turn on/off for the VPN feature, then click/tap on Settings. See if you have the Kill Switch turned on. If so, turn it off. What that does is kill your internet if the VPN disconnects, which is happening if you move the phone far enough away from the tablet that the hotspot connection fails/disconnects.

Yes. I've gone back to ExpressVPN which is set to autorun on system startup and as far as I can tell, it detects whenever an internet connection is made and diverts traffic through the VPN without any requirement to manually cycle off/on. Doesn't matter whether I've restarted my computer or just lost/regained hotspot connection, it just works.

Sophos is my edge device to ISP where I've created a lot of firewall rules and Sophos is connected to Mikrotik because of this I can't use firewall rules to block or allow any mac address. My issue is some of the workstation Pc users are using a mobile hotspot to connect to the wifi since the blocked applications in the wifi are allowed on their computers because they're from sales and marketing. So, my problem is I want to block them from using mobile hotspot from windows 11 and connect to the AP for wifi access so that I can control what they're accessing.

Hello Kaeyana,

Thank you for reaching out to the community, see you can not control the allow/block action if the client connected to the Internet does not have Sophos Firewall as there gateway. So in this scenario, the best thing would be to have an endpoint that control the network traffic, so that even if someone uses mobile hotspot they may not be able to access the sites blocked in your organization !!

The Yellowstone Hotspot track is superimposed on other tectonic provinces of the Pacific Northwest. The hotspot first surfaced 17 million years ago as massive outpourings of fluid basalt lava in the Columbia Plateau and Steens Basalt region. Surfacing of the hotspot was affected by subduction that is now manifest as the Cascadia Subduction Zone where the Juan de Fuca Plate descends beneath the edge of the continent. Since then the North American Plate has been moving west-southwest over the hotspot, so that a chain of explosive rhyolite volcanic centers (pink blobs) extends across the Snake River Plain to Yellowstone. This line of supervolcanoes is concurrent with continental rifting forming the Basin and Range Province.

As the plate moves away from the hotspot it cools and contracts, forming lower elevations in the Snake River Plain of southern Idaho. This is similar to Hawaii, where islands get shorter in a northwestward direction, eventually sinking beneath the sea as atolls and seamounts. Likewise, the Snake River Plain of southern Idaho is a depression in the landscape where the North American Plate has moved off the Yellowstone Hotspot. Younger basalt lava flows (some from Basin and Range continental rifting) cover much of the earlier rhyolite supervolcanic centers.

The overall plant and animal community, or ecosystem, is influenced by the local geology and climate conditions. The plants and animals found in Yellowstone National Park are there because the landscape developed over a hotspot. Rising, hot mantle has elevated the Yellowstone Plateau to 8,000 feet (2,500 meters) above sea level, resulting in long winters with deep snow cover. The rhyolite lava flows found throughout the park weather to very acidic soil. The high elevation, poor soil and long winters mean high stress for plants in Yellowstone. The dominant tree found in the park is the Lodgepole Pine, a tree that thrives in such stressful environments.

Please take care of your Hotspot Kit. Fees will apply if the Wi-Fi hotspot or any accessory is lost or damaged. Library card privileges will be suspended until the Hotspot Kit is returned or charges on the account are paid.

You can check the availability of hotspots at your local branch by searching "mobile hotspot" in the library catalog or by calling any branch. If hotspots are not available, you may place a Hotspot Kit on hold. Only one hold is allowed per library account. Once you are notified that your Hotspot Kit is available, you will have seven business days to pick it up at your selected library location.

You can borrow a WiFi hotspot at any BPL location. If your location does not have a hotspot currently available, you may place a request to hold a hotspot just like other borrowable materials from the library.

1. Return your hotspot to a service desk during our service hours. Hotspots should not be returned via the book drops.

2. Please return the hotspot by the due date. Items not returned on time will be remotely disabled.

Replacement costs: Hotspot $70. Case $20. Power Cord: $10 Total: $100

Turn your Windows PC into a mobile hotspot by sharing your internet connection with other devices over Wi-Fi. You can share a Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or cellular data connection. If your PC has a cellular data connection and you share it, it will use data from your data plan.

Turn your Windows 10 PC into a mobile hotspot by sharing your Internet connection with other devices over Wi-Fi. You can share a Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or cellular data connection. If your PC has a cellular data connection and you share it, it will use data from your data plan.

I have two tplink cameras, NC 220 and NC200, which were working perfectly when connected to the Wifi network. My thoughts were, if a modem/router works, a mobile hotspot also will. I created a hotspot in my mobile phone, using the data connection supplied by the carrier, and tried to connect the cameras to it.

So I tried with a different phone, and exactly the opposite thing happened: I could connect another phone and computer to the hotspot but not the cameras (the light flashed green for a second but then turned red).

What I did was create the hotspot with my phone, without password. I connected my computer to it. Then, I connected via Ethernet cable the computet with a Tp Link range extender and configured it. After that, I took the Ethernet cable out of my computer and plugged into the Tp link camera, leaving the other end plugged into the range extender.

I went into the Tp Link camera app and found the IP address of the camera, which I typed in Chrome to enter the camera's website. Once in it, I changed the network, to the wireless one I had connected on the hotspot, and I registered the camera in the cloud service (I had already created the account). And voilà! I unplugged the Ethernet cable from the camera and plugged it into the other one to repeat the process. Finally, both my cameras were working fine, connected to the hotspot, and I could check remotely from the app or the web.
