In the original OKC, there were 4 beeps at the start of paranoid android. When I bought the remaster, I was listening to it on shuffle, so when paranoid android came on I thought the beeps had been removed. But, when Airbag came on, I then realised the beeps had actually been moved to the end of Airbag. Finally, I listen to Airbag and heard the transition into Paranoid Android and compared it to that of the original OKC. It sounds exactly the same, but the beeps have been moved. Anyone know why?
I followed instruction to fire shutter but all I get is 3 beeping sound. I mounted the lens, set switch to "M" mode, remove the plate (tried both with film and without), cock the lever all the way down, then press shutter (already set to white dot), nothing but beeps.
I searched online for answer but nothing seem to make a difference. The cable release port is in place (no red thread), battery is new, I tried both vertical and horizontal position, different lens, different backs (in case of electronic contacts), shutter speed is set to anything but AEF and RBL, and I also tried normal mode.
I don't think there is anything wrong with the camera since it works fine in full mechanic mode. What did I do wrong? Did I miss anything in the process?
Many thanks for taking a look.

The only record I could find of any standard POST code having a total of 15 beeps is for a Phoenix BIOS that I don't believe applies to your laptop. It's for older computers, and a pattern of 3-4-4-4 beeps meant "check virus and backup reminders". Given your symptoms, that pretty clearly isn't applicable.
The beeps could represent several concurrent things that collectively produce beeps that exceed the standard POST codes. The system obviously has a problem, which would account for some of the POST beeps. In addition to that, you could be hearing USB enumeration.
I had the same problem with a HP Pavilion G6 g1020I open it to put thermal paste on the processor (I wasn't able to do it) and when I reassemble it, It beeps 15 times and the Caps Lock LED flashes continuously. In my case it was simply that the RAM was released and I simply have to re-seating it and it start working
Okay, this is a weird problem and I haven't been able to find anything online about it with a casual search. Hoping someone here might know something. I recently updated InDesign to the newest version (18.0). After I did that, I am unable to open any window or dialog box from the top menu without getting a Windows "warning beep." In fact, the beeps keep repeating for as long as the window/box is open. I never had this problem witn ID before, and none of the other Apps I use (Ps, Id, etc.) do this and they are all updated, as well. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm using Windows 11 22H2.
@Brian: Sorry I ment 'start record at left locator. It does not do that. I get the right preroll to the marker that I have chosen. But it starts recording straight away and I do not hear any beeps. So I must still do something wrong.
I have a Congo Junior console which has just been moved from the production desk in the auditorium to the control booth.
When everything was reconnected and it was powered up, all I get is three slow beeps and then the LCD screens display "Congo Jr" but nothing appears on my monitors.
Do these three beeps mean something terminal (I am fearing something has become dislodged during the move) or could there be another explanation? I believe I have checked for rookie errors but would appreciate your advise ASAP.
Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is effectively treated with eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) with patients making eye movements during recall of traumatic memories. Many therapists have replaced eye movements with bilateral beeps, but there are no data on the effects of beeps. Experimental studies suggest that eye movements may be beneficial because they tax working memory, especially the central executive component, but the presence/degree of taxation has not been assessed directly. Using discrimination Reaction Time (RT) tasks, we found that eye movements slow down RTs to auditive cues (experiment I), but binaural beeps do not slow down RTs to visual cues (experiment II). In an arguably more sensitive "Random Interval Repetition" task using tactile stimulation, working memory taxation of beeps and eye movements were directly compared. RTs slowed down during beeps, but the effects were much stronger for eye movements (experiment III). The same pattern was observed in a memory experiment with healthy volunteers (experiment IV): vividness of negative memories was reduced after both beeps and eye movements, but effects were larger for eye movements. Findings support a working memory account of EMDR and suggest that effects of beeps on negative memories are inferior to those of eye movements.
I had used "device key" instead of "Hotkey" as a trigger. That led the OS to believe that F1 was not in use and then so beeps at me. If I use F1 as a "Hotkey" no beep and the trigger still works fine. It seems like the OS is aware of what keys are used as Hotkeys by various apps but that does not include device keys when used as a trigger.
I ve been Googling for that issue and I ve found message by people having the same issue but no answer: all I found was some hack saying that there was a known issue with JEditorPane and that using a putProperty("IgnoreCharsetDirective", Boolean.TRUE) was helpful to make unwanted beeps happen less often. Yet information is very scarce on the subject.
Hi Vincent! I tried everything you suggested and nothing seems to be working. I threw the old hard drive back and all it does is make the beeps take longer before they are heard (it's on it's last leg and is practically dead). Should I try purchasing new ram? Or is my ram slots fried?
