I have the same problem. Update Adobe CS5.5 design premium from CS3 in combination with MAC OSX 10.6.8. Adobe acrobat crashes after a few seconds. Latest upgrades are installed, still same problem. In Library > Application Support > Adobe > i can't find Adobe PCD. Also cache.db, i can't find. What can i do ? I have the problem with all the 5 licenses.

I am using Acrobat Pro X with the latest update on a 2009 MacBook Pro running Lion 10.7.2. I have the same experience that you describe: I get the acrobat menu and the file opens but then the application freezes and I must force quit it. I reinstalled the software and it worked for several days but crashed again today with the same problem. I tried getting help from Adobe. The advisor told me that I had to remove Parallels from my Mac. The advisor said that you can't run adobe on multiplatforms. I had been running adobe products in both systems without any problems for the last several years. I have the windows version of Acrobat Pro 9 running in Parallels. I did not remove Parallels as that seemed extreme and not necessarily the correct answer. My mouse pointer also acts buggy when Acrobat crashes. I don't know that there is any connection but my problem started after I installed the latest i-tunes and Java update, which was about 10 days ago.

I have this problem as well. I am on Lion (OS10.7.2) using AdobeCreative Suite CS 5.5 Design Premium. At first Acrobat Pro X (version 10.0) worked fine -- I just couldn't upgrade it. When I tried, it kept failing and would tell me to uninstall it, then reinstall Acrobat Pro. So I finally did. Big mistake. Now it opens and will keep a file up for about 5-10 seconds, then it crashes, and mysteriously as it does, I see an icon for Adobe Application Manager, which also disappears in a few seconds. (??)

I think you're having a different problem in 2020 than these people were in 2011. At least they were using the current version then... most people don't have to mess with the internet connection, but find installing 10.1.16 fixes it.

4. Run Acrobat X Pro, now insted of crashing it will show a "new" adobe activation agreement (this is what was crashing the acrobat x pro), you can now accept it and Acrobat X Pro runs with 0 issues in 2021. (no need for any compatibly modes).

Wanted to say thanks for this tip (windows user who stumbled across this thread). For some reason I couldn't find CS6 in that compatibility database, but I saw other people mention that the crash didn't happen as long as they were offline. So if anyone else can't get the method above to work, a workaround is to open windows firewall, add a new rule, and tell it to block Acrobat X from making any outbound connections.

You have to find the acrobat executable, which should somewhere like "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe" for windows machines. Hope that helps someone, good luck to mac users as well.

Paid a pretty penny ($450) for Adobe CS6 bundle (hint: before it became rental software you'll never own) years ago. Looking at that email receipt, I bought it in 2012. Over the years, it will eventually install updates on its own (out of the box settings), and thats when Acrobat itself will automatically close eventually after opening a document after some 20 seconds. "Its not a bug, its a feature", they say. It gets frustrating having to do workarounds (unplug/disable internet), but Acrobat is one of the easier ones (no scripts, no download this or that for a fix, no registry fixes). As noted above, simply block the app in the firewall from reaching out, works every time, years proven. $500 for owning an Adobe application suite (PhotoShop, Illustrator, Acrobat is a good deal (though I cant say I wouldnt welcome lower prices). It works, has all I need and more, does not require an internet connection to function, etc, and I'm not making monthly payments for it.

For my version of Windows 10 (21H2), Acrobat 10.1.1.33 of Master Collection CS6, running Compatibility Administration to disable pdapp.exe DOES NOT WORK. Launching Acrobat does NOT ask for a key, starts and times out and closes after 16 seconds. Attached is a Word Document with system info. Everything else in this Master Collections works.

Seor, el instalador es de 2015, si aplicas el update AcrobatDCUpd1901220034 se actualiza a cc 2019, si en las instrucciones te dice que debes elegir Acrobat 2015 para activarlo, pues debes creer en las instrucciones por algo recomiendan activarlo con 2015. o puedes comprarlo asi te sale ms facial instalarlo hahaha

Cuando lo instalo sigo todos los pasos y luego me pide una ID. Si no la pongo me saca del programa y si la pongo me dice que tengo un tiempo de prueba. Estoy haciendo algo mal o es que no funciona bien?

pero yo tengo windows 10, no habr problemas con esto? ya que lo instale en una PC nueva, que compre en el buen fin y me dice que no se instal una librera. la otra, por que dice el titulo que es 2019 si un archivo que esta en el rar dice 2015?

si no lo actualizas a la version de 2019 esta bien parcheado, que es como lo tengo sin ese paso pero desde que actualizas al 2019 salta lo de la cuenta al rato o a los 2 dias. no sirve desactivar el antivirus ni quitar internet. tampoco quitar de sus opciones generales del programa lo de buscar actualizaciones. Termina apareciendo tarde o temprano (he repetido la instalacion muchas veces por si era un error mio pero no)

Buenos das a todos:
Antes de nada, hay que bloquear el programa en el archivo hosts del sistema para bloquear la salida del programa a los servidores de Adobe, en internet se puede buscar la lista de lneas que hay que agregar y como modificar este archivo hosts, si no lo hacemos el programa ser revisado por Adobe, despus hay que realizar estos dos pasos ms despus de instalarlo, actualizarlo y activarlo, y ja me diris si funciona.

Nota: si con estos dos pasos sigue saliendo el aviso de programa de prueba o te pide la ID de adobe se tiene que instalar un programa llamado Anticloud, pero es el ltimo paso a realizar o ya no podremos actualizar ninguna App de adobe que tengamos instalada.

Lo siento, no he podido subir las capturas, no tengo ni facebook ni ninguna de las otras redes sociales, y he tenido que hacerlo con tres mensajes por la limitacin de caracteres existente en la pagina, y poner mi correo por aqu no lo veo factible ni prudente por mi parte, pero si hacis estos pasos la activacin sera para siempre, yo as lo hice y lo llevo usando desde hace mas de 6 meses sin ningn aviso ni problema, mi S.O es Windows 10 LTSC 2019, no uso antivirus ya que uso el de Win 10.

Segui todos los pasos de video, y funciono bien, pero despues de un dia me salio el mensaje que tenia que tener una cuenta adobe, si no se cerraba el programa, cree la cuenta y ahora me sale que solo tengo 7 dias, de prueba, sabes como solucionar el problema? gracias por tu tiempo

Yo creo que esta pgina es super confiable, el problema de la gente como t es que no saben descargar, eres de los tipicos novatos que andan en la internet pinchando clicks en todo lugares ni siquiera te detienes a leer o no sabes que significa Mega, Mediafire y google drive.

He desactivado el antivirus. He instalado el setup de la carpeta setup porque el archivo que indica en las instrucciones yo no lo he encontrado. Despus he ejecutado la actualizacin, y por ltimo el parche que indica. Al abrir el programa me pide que me registre con una cuenta y luego me dice que tengo 7 das de prueba. El parcheado est fallando claramente. Agradezco vuestra ayuda.

gente tenia el error que cadaves que iniciaba sesion no me dejaba asi que descubri que eso de cambiarle los host no funciona, lo que sirve es denegarle al exe todo aexceso a internet con un programa llamado block internet, es muy facil de usar, asi no se les sale nada de actualizar ty esas cosas

y ya creo que su problema es el antivirus le elimino el archivo y automaticamente jode todo. espero dincione.

Estimados, hice todo y se desactiv la prueba de 7 das. Pero al apagarlo y volver a prender la mquina volvi a iniciarse la prueba de 7 das. Volv a modificar el archivo Host con las lineas y volv a cargar el fix pero no pasa nada. Espero de su ayuda

Hola segui todos los pasos del video, me ponia que en5 dias expiraba, y ahora luego de cracker, agregar las direccions en al archivo host y luego correr el archivo fix, cuando lo abro me sale que en 29 dias se vence??? que pude hacer mal?, gracias
