Ihave my system nicely connected to my phone, it connected almost instantly. Now I want to connect with my tablet and the discover the base station just sits there and spins. The tablet is on the same network. I attempt to connect through the Web interface but can't get past their stupid "subscribe to smart..." Window.

You don't need to go back through setup again if you've already installed the system using your phone. Simply login on your tablet using the same credentials you've already created during the original setup.

Yes, I did log in with those credentials, but when I go to add new device, it just spins and never finds the base station. I have updated from the original Arlo wire!see system, but hadn't added my tablet before.

Well, that's odd, on a hunch I logged out of my account and logged back in and viola all my devices appeared. I find it odd because I had been logged into my account previously when no devices appeared.

For personalized support specific to the Arlo products you own, access Support from within the Arlo iOS or Android App. Simply login to your Arlo App, go to Settings, Support, then select the Arlo product you would like support for.

I recently purchase a Amcrest IP wireless camera. It only support 2.4GHz. In order to set it up, my tablet also need to connect to the same 2.4GHz during the installation. But my tablet by default always connect to the 5GHz. Is there any way to force the RBK53 only let my tablet connect to 2.4GHz?

What I (personally) have done is just ignore all those "Must have 2.4G" warnings, and just go through the setup. Every time but one, the device got setup correctly. That one smart plug required tha above technique.

We purchased an Amazon Fire tablet, 8 inch, and use it only for music. It worked well for over two years then we moved. The WiFi connection was changed, and we have internet access. For example, cnn.com shows the news just fine. When we try to start pandora, it displays the pulsating P for a while then opens a small dialog with the text:

Reminder: This tablet worked for a couple of years and stopped when we moved. The network has changed and it has not worked on this new network. I can use the tablet to view sites such as CNN.COM, but still have concerns about network problems.

I've been trying to resolve this issue for the last week, reading every post I can and finally found this thread and decided to post here. Pandora stopped working about a week and a half ago on my Fire tablet. I've had it a couple years and never had an issue until now. FIRST I tried updating to 2204.1. That did not help. Next I cleared cache and data. That did not help. Then I uninstalled Pandora and reinstalled. None of those things worked. Finally I tried a full factory reset on my Fire tablet and installed Pandora from fresh. Still doesn't work. Just says "Waiting for connection" retry or cancel. I have Pandora on my phone and it plays fine on it on the same wifi network.

I think we've all tried enough of these reset procedures now on different devices to prove its clearly not a device or carrier issue. I believe its an issue with the app. Can we get a status update on what research Pandora is doing on the engineering side to resolve this issue?

I have shared this with our engineering team on your behalf. At this time, I do not have an ETA or a status update. However, I can confirm that I have shared this your feedback on internal ticket. We appreciate your patience during this process.

Alyssa, Even if you don't have a "status" or an ETA, your engineering team should have a clue by now what the problem is being that it is a recurring issue for months/years. Your executives have probably already weighed whether to release that information to the community and I'm guessing that is a NO, but I for one do not appreciate that. It will make me leave for another service FASTER than actually telling me the truth, even if it is embarrassing to Pandora. Companies make bad decisions some times, but the best disinfectant is sunlight. Lets get some information out to the community like a service bulletin through email explaining the technical issue and a big apology from Pandora ASAP. Sitting on this longer is not in your best interests.

I saw that 2205 was just released and it had a specific install process it required. I followed it, uninstalling Pandora first, then installing the update from fresh. Ran Pandora but got the same message "waiting for connection". I tried uninstalling and clearing cache/storage, etc. No help. After that fiasco on Saturday, I decided to switch to a competitor and just spent an hour migrating my playlists. Clearly you guys have made some seriously bad decisions and can't find your way out of them, either in a technical sense, or through thoughtful community communication. All your app needs to do is play music, and it can't do that. Good luck finding some executives that can do their job correctly in the future, but I've decided to close this account.

It obviously has something to do with the switch in internet carriers. I've tried everything listed here and the only thing that works is uninstalling/reinstalling the Pandora app but this only works for a short time before it begins doing the same "connection error" thing again.

I can access Pandora through the browser but it fails to advance songs, so basically, still useless. I've begun using my Youtube music account for tablet entertainment now. Not even sure it's a Pandora problem, to be honest.

I use Canon Connect as an alternative to tethering on an iPad. I want to replace the iPad with an Amazon Fire Max tablet, but need to know that I'll be able to connect the camera with the tablet. Has anyone had any experience with this?

I don't have the Fire 11, but FWIW Canon Camera Connect has worked on all of my Kindles going back to the Fire 7. My last one is the Fire 10 HD which I bought in '21, and CC works fine for remote shooting.

The biggest problem was Amazon and Google not playing together (you can't d/l straight from Google Play), so I had to jump through some hoops to get the Canon Camera Connect apk, then setup the Kindle to allow "Apps from unknow sources", which was simple enough after the nag screen popped up. I used ES File Explorer to install the apk, which is available at the Amazon App Store, but that's probably not necessary.

The other option is to install s/w that will basically mask, from Google Play, that you are using a Kindle. This will require installing several Google file managers. This works well if you want to have the Play Store installed on your Kindle 11, but I just wanted CC, so I chose to just d/l the apk from a site and be done with it.

I'm not going to go into the particulars and will encourage you, if you go this route, to do a web search for installing apps from Google Play on a Kindle 11 and judge/research the risk for yourself because we are on the edge of "hacking" your Kindle.

Waddizzle, it runs what they call a "forked" version of Android which is Fire OS 8 based on Android 11. All of mine were released with the latest version of Android that had Amazon bits added, like their home/lock screen, Amazon App Store, Books, Music, Videos, etc. But under the hood it's Android. I've bought all of the ones I have to use as Android tablets, but I do have one 10" model that I left stock, but it still serves as an Android tablet and fully networks with my Windows 10 laptops. The others I have rooted to remove Amazon and make them pure Android.

I'm glad you found the info I posted helpful, but I'm not sure it is a "solve" until we know for sure you can actually use CC on the newer Fire 11" to actually connect with your camera. I haven't tried it on my Fire 10" with any of my newer R series MILC's. I used it with a Rebel T7i, a 7D II and a 5D IV. For the R's, I now use Helicon Remote or the MIOPS app/device on all of my Android phones and tablets when doing remote shooting, depending on my subject.
