Hi Andy,

I have an interest about PSInSAR.
I'm starting to read StaMPS manual.
Here is very fundamental question.

When reading the manual, raw signal processing, interferogram
generation, and some InSAR procedures
depend on DORIS and ROI_PAC. In fact, I am not familiar with DORIS or
ROI_PAC, but with GAMMA s/w.
So, I want to know if GAMMA can replace InSAR procedures which are
performed by DORIS and ROI_PAC now,
even though, also, I think that I should modify your matlab codes for
reading SLC images and parameter files.

Thank you

Hi Jin,

i've tried using gamma to create SLC file, but i found the file format is different.
So, Stamps failed when readig the data, unless you can convert the data into readable format with Roi_pac or Doris.

by the way, do you know the format of SLC or interferogram file which is created by Gamma, so i can read it in Matlab?
i plan to convert it, so i can process it using Stamps. but i haven't find the correct format until right now.

thx.

teguh.

Hi Teguh,

As I know, the interferogram is fcomplex (float re, im), and
the SLC file, which depends on the kind of SAR satellite,
is one of scomplex (short re, im) and fcomplex.
If you make codes reading scomplex or fcomplex images,
you can read it in Matlab. But, you should consider little endian or
big endian in Matlab.
Generally, SLC files created in GAMMA are big-endian.
(e.g. fopen('*.slc',;rb','ieee-be'))
If you have some problems in converting it, I will help you. Good
Luck!)

P.S. What's the format of interferograms created in ROI_PAC?

Thank you

Jinu

hi Jim,

i think that's the problem, litle and big endian!! I've tried reading the data using that format, but it gava me wrong result.
ROI_PAC SLC data has the same format (float 32 re,im), but in litle endian.

Unfortunately i'm on a GPS campaign now, so i cannot do more. Perhaps when i go back to my office i will figure out how to convert this data (or maybe you will find it first) ;-)

thanks anyway. and good luck for you too.
maybe we can help each other someday.

teguh.
