Hello all,

I have 38 ERS-1/2 scenes from the European Space Agency, and when I ordered them from ESA using Eoli-sa,  I used the following conditions:

processing:                       SLC
Quality of service:             Normal
Format:                            Envisat

According to my advisor, and others (forum posters, etc.) I should not have to use Roi_PAC since the scenes are already SLCs. However, StaMPS is not reading the scenes in correctly. I have been able to get them as far as running the "link_slcs data_path", which created an SLC folder with "image.slc" files, but when I attempt to choose my master scene "step_read_whole_19970304" I get errors. I have gone in an changed the "M_In_Method" to A*.......N1 in the "master_read_files_envisat" and "readfiles_Envisat", but "step_read_whole_19970304" is not working. I have checked to make sure the files are unzipped, and indeed they are. I am using Doris version 4.04, which according to Delft, should allow me to use ERS scenes in Envisat format (ex. SAR_....................E1/E2). How might I go about getting this to work? Thank you all for your help, I look forward to hearing suggestions/solutions to this problem.

Kyle

Hi Kyle,

are you sure that command "step_read_whole_19970304" is correct? Try to go to SLC/19970304/ folder and than type "step_read_whole_Envisat" into command line, maybe "step_read_whole_Ers" will work as well.

Best regards,

Matus

Hi Matus,

Sorry for spamming you with emails. I followed your suggestion, and StaMPS tried to run the step, however, it failed out with the message:

cpxfiddle: ERROR: inputfile: master.slcnot found.

  PROGRAM: cpxfiddle (version v2.5 14-Oct-2008)

  SYNOPSIS:
    cpxfiddle -w width [-f informat] [-q output] [-o outformat]
    [-e exp] [-s scale] [-l line] [-L line] [-p pixel] [-P pixel]
    [-S x/y] [-M x/y] [-m mirror] [-c file] [-r rmin/rmax] [-B swap]

Dump content of complex binary file to stdout,
either: as is, magnitude, phase, real or imaginary part.
Input files can be almost any complex file
    though not (yet) band interleaved.
   Output can be manipulated by:
   multilooking, subsampling, mirroring, scaling, etc.
This program is useful for cropping and displaying, in combination
with e.g., GMT, ImageMagick, or xv.
Output format to stdout can be binary.
Careful! only pipe or redirect this.
(use: "cpxfiddle -h |& more"     in csh
or "cpxfiddle -h 2>&1 | less" in bash for more help.)

Do I need to install the lastest version of DORIS released in December? From what I have read I should not have to

Thanks;

Kyle

Hi,

What I ended up doing was use CEOS SLC scenes from ESA. I tried for
quite some time to get the ERS ENVISAT scenes to work, but I don't
think it has been added to the program quite yet.
