StaMPS installation problem: StaMPS command permission denied

Dear Dear StaMPS group,

I'm new to StaMPS software and have installed StaMPS_v3.3b1 version. But when I started to run command within StaMPS, the terminal always showed Permission denied. If I use bash command, there was  another error appearing, like syntax error.

For example:

#step_slc_alos

bash: /usr/local/StaMPS_v3.3b1/bin/step_slc_alos: Permission denied

#bash step_slc_alos

/usr/local/StaMPS_v3.3b1/bin/step_slc_alos: step_slc_alos: line 54: syntax error near unexpected token `('

/usr/local/StaMPS_v3.3b1/bin/step_slc_alos: step_slc_alos: line 54: `@ width = ($last - $first) +1'

I think I have installed the other required software packages, and set the environment variables in StaMPS_CONFIG.bash file. And I also have add ''source /usr/local/StaMPS_v3.3b1/StaMPS_CONFIG.bash" at the end of bashrc file.

So I have no idea what's wrong with my installation. Cloud you please help me to solve this problem?

Dear Allen,

If i am not mistaken, the step_slc_alos uses gawk utility, please check if you already have gawk on your system.

Hello

You should go to this directory: /usr/local/StaMPS_v3.3b1/bin/

then do right click on the files and select "properties" and select Permissions" tab and check "Allow executing files as program"

It would solve your "Permision denied" problem.

I think I have found the problem. Before I installed StaMPS, I unzipped this StaMPS.tar file in windows system. Actually I should never do that. Thanks for reminding me.
