We Gain America, Inc one of the fastest growing IT Consulting Company in US. We have an urgent requirement with our client/Preferred Vendor. The job details are given below.

Position Title: SQL Server Developer

Location: Austin, TX

Duration: 6+ Months

Requirements - Must Have o Bachelors in Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field

· 1+ years of experience in a major database environment (Microsoft SQL preferred)

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server database environment

· Advanced knowledge of SQL and Transact SQL languages o Experience with writing and tuning TSQL stored procedures

· Experience with data/transfers/sharing using flat files, DB links, etc.

· Experience with Microsoft Office tools automation using Excel and VBA o Experience with report writing/querying tools Preferred Experience

· 1+ years of experience with development languages and tools such as Perl, Python, .Net, Matlab, etc.

· 1+ years of experience in an analytical position, preferably within the asset-management industry

· Any of the following asset-management applications: Bloomberg, Factset, DataStream Additional Attributes:

· Proven ability to quickly learn new data schemas and report development tools

· Proven analytical and problem solving skills

· Effective oral, presentation, and written communication skills Thrives in an environment of constantly changing requirements.

Successful candidate will perform two primary functions within a sophisticated asset-management environment. Firstly, the candidate will provide the essential database design and management skills required to maintain a large data “warehouse” of quantitative time-series that are the key inputs into several existing asset-management strategies. Secondly, the candidate will assist the portfolio managers with quality control (i.e., cleaning up existing data series within the warehouse) and finding / testing of new data series.

Key Activities – IT

· Collect, analyze, develop data requirements and source-to-target mapping documentation, within approved architectural direction.

· Develop stored procedures using TSQL in Microsoft SQL Server.

· Develop reports using industry standard report writing tools (SSRS, Cognos, etc.).

· Work with Enterprise IT to ensure proper integration of new solutions into existing environments.

· Work with Enterprise IT to understand infrastructure capacity and environment requirements for new development.

· Work with database administrators to design logical & physical data models and to ensure efficient flow & storage of information.

· Provide task-level estimated effort and development schedules to project leads.

Key Activities – Data Analysis

· Perform data transformation, cleaning up of raw data series, and assessing continuity and lags in historical, time-series data.

· Developing data transformation scripts for upload into database.

· Searching for new and/or unconventional time series data that could be relevant to one or more portfolio strategies.

· Creating aggregate data series from building-block data.
