Dear Mainer Rights: Below is part most all of a letter which has gone out to human Rights Groups on behalf of Hospiality House Inc. I ask all of you to join the Human Rights Livable wage week Dec. 3rd to 11th. As well as attend the MPPEHRC, meeting on Sat. Nov 13th 10 AM to 12 noon, at the Waterville, Pleasant St Methodist Church. If you have an idea hit relpy We want the day for a Livable wage to come in our lifetime. I am sixty I want to experience a decade or two where people know a wage that allows them to break free from Poverty. We are not “the Poor” we are the “deliberately underpaid”. I am delighted to hear some of you will be hosting a media event or two this week of improvement of Human Rights and Livable wage week Dec 3-11th. Maine hopes to have rallies and education in 3-4 big cities, and perhaps one village. That week we will get the news to attend. Hope the number of participants are not dwarfed by the news coverage, but even if they are it’s getting out the word. I am personally hoping to be at least 2 news events. Where I will inform not only shamefully are 70% of all American workers living in real poverty, and get real poverty talked about. Also that our government, Universities, and National poverty and Homeless Groups working to cure 50% of poverty Not figuring the complete cost of ending poverty. Can you be kind enough to get out the word to look up Livable wage, and human rights at Yahoo website? This could be a national effort if all we do is self educate people that is more than before. The Government will have to include the real poverty Level, which is the livable wage. We break out of poverty-when all can afford to pay for the basic of life each month. Another America Another America is poverty If 70%+ jobs pays under the rate needed to break free of POVERTY, we are not free! Unless you call freedom the right to exchange one bad paying job for another to some that is slavery. · Despite America being the land of plenty this America is the third from the last on industrial countries in poverty. We have more poor then most counties, beat out for last place only by Turkey and Mexico. Our America is a land of POVERTY; and those in uncounted poverty. Recall 70% of all workers according to the US Dept of Labor do NOT Make a wage enough to pay for all the basics. Paying for all the basics should be the threshold of poverty. When 30% or less of all worker are paid a augmented wage, and called a livable wage, that leaves 70+% who are paid less. We should call for limits on how many millions of dollars the upper echelon of banking etc, can make. As not more than 20 times the income of the lowest paid in the country. There should be a limit, in both a CEO’s income and bonuses The bonuses can be 50 times the lowest bonus of the lowest paid worker. Japan does it. I am asking everyone in the USA to check out Livable wage, in the week Human Rights. Which this year is celebrated Dec 3, to dec.11th. The actual day is Dec 10th. I am asking livable wage groups across this national to call to have people educate themselves on REAL Livable wages-So we can not be lied to. I am hoping Livable wages and human rights ends up in the top ten on Yahoo search engine. If not, we will education a few thousand Americans. I am hoping many rallies and marches of just 10 people too 50 people break out all Over America that week. Let us get the press covering HUMAN Rights to a decent wage. Lets fight cuts to the poor/ children/ and elderly-Before they are announced as bills. Any American wanting to learn how to stage a rally, write me at MPPHRC PO Box 105 Fairfield ME. 04937 Or call 207-453-2353 10AM - 4PM EST 7 days a week. Call with Ideas. I will go out on the streets and raise capital by doing the Asian religious practice, of pan handling, or begging for copy costs. This will inform more people of Human Rights.
Thank you for listening to me. Part of this letter can be found at http://uspoverty.change.org/blog/view/grand_junction_colorado_home_of_babies_in_snowbanks
I am hoping to have people who understand Ending Poverty to speak with there.
Call if you require Ideas to Fund Raise, or have great new ideas. We need to get working funds for the Improvement ahead. We need to get others to say-NO I will not let you exploit myself nor harm my family.
