Subject: CITIZEN VOICES NEEDED: Maine Can Do Better Lobby Day

Join Us for Maine Can Do Better's Citizen Lobby Day at the State House

Ed,

We still have a tough budget fight ahead of us and things are only getting tougher. Next week, Governor LePage is expected to announce even more cuts to important programs on which Maine people depend.

Even before the new cuts expected next week, LePage’s budget already has backward priorities. It undermines vital and effective services for Maine families and seniors, and it does so while giving over $200 million in tax cuts that favor the wealthiest Mainers.

We need to continue to make sure our legislators see and hear how Maine people REALLY feel about such misdirected priorities. Will you join us on May 11th for Maine Can Do Better’s first ever Citizen Lobby Day at the State House?

Citizen Lobby Day will give regular Maine people like you an opportunities to connect with your legislators, to take concrete action to stop harmful cuts to effective and important services, and to stand with hundreds of other Maine people as we take a stand in favor of priorities that serve the interests of ALL MAINE PEOPLE!
