Dear Mainers,
Would folks be available Thursday for a call with some DPA folks about the overdose legislation you're planning for 2014? We hear the filing deadline is coming up and we would love to check in about what you are thinking and how we can support your efforts.
Thanks,
Rosie

Rosie: Always nice to hear from you. I thought I had indicated previously that bills defeated in the first session of the legislature can not be introduced in the Second Regular Session under the Joint Rules of the Legislature. Perhaps there is some other approach that would not be considered a duplicate bill but it is not on the medical association's agenda for 2014.

Hi Gordon,
I thought we had discussed that a comprehensive approach to overdose bill would potentially be considered a different bill. Who would be able to determine this? The Revisor's Office?
