Hey, folks:

Thought fellow Rubyists would appreciate this opportunity. Drew Neil
(@nelstrom) runs Vimcasts.org, a set of free videocasts on using Vim,
and is the author of PragProg's "Practical Vim" book, currently in
beta. He's setting up a world tour offering one-day Vim worksthops.

If you'd be interested in seeing this in Boston, place your vote at:

http://wantworkshop.com/workshops/vimcasts_workshop/locations/us-boston

We only need a couple more votes. ("We" = students. I'm not
affiliated, just want to take the class.)

What to expect from a Vimcasts workshop:

Last year, his half-day sessions in Austin cost $95, so I'd expect
something similar.

Thanks Ted!

Sounds like fun.
The site said it needed 1 more vote... I tossed my name in the hat.
If it happens. I'll do my best to attend.

Cheers,

Awesome, thanks, Adam!

So, apparently, we've "unlocked" the Boston location, which is likely
the minimum attendance for Drew to consider.

Folks, keep signing up if you'd like to be notified if/when this
becomes a reality. I'd expect Drew will need to connect a few cities
in a row to make this a worthwhile trip for him.

According to:

http://vimcasts.org/blog/2012/05/on-tour-this-summer-vim-masterclass-workshop/

the workshop would likely be sometime in August/September. If anyone
might have a line on suitable teaching facilities, you can contact
Drew directly at the link above.
