in other directions we must feel what is important for those who come
here and work as well for those who to be resident and to to those's
who want to be American citizen's and must understand how our country
is run and to know the laws and bylaws. and to understand our english
language. and others must know how we feel

I agree.

As the old adage says "when in Rome, do as the Romans do"

Hi Ed,
I'm here!

I told you I would visit! :)

I also agree, with what you said here. I just want to add that it is
also important for all immigrants not just Mexicans to some how get
background checks done before being allowed in the country for work or
citizenship. I read an article some where & I wish I had kept it.
Anyway's it was about some terrorist from the middle east were coming
thru Mexico & other insecure borders that lead to this country. So I
think that it's important to investigate many immigrants that are here.

I guess... Im not sure why there is such a much ado about the
"LANGUAGE" thing. There has long been a history of immigrant
communities that have held onto their "native" language (polish,
italians, chinese, etc). Perhaps, many of the immigrants (with or
without the proper documents) that come here are too BUSY working to
spend the time learning the language? Perhaps, they feel they are TOO
OLD to be learning something new? My father was an immigrant, and he
spoke SPANISH... and continues to speak spanish. He also speaks
ENGLISH. He had to. How else was he going to speak to his daughters
and son who were born and raised here in the US? I find it absolutely
pathetic that people fall for that line of bullsh!t --- I'm sorry...
but do you know how many Americans live abroad who DO NOT know the
language of the country they are living in? Whatever.. So pshhh on
that arguement. The assumption that immigrants do NOT speak english is
retarded. I know many immigrants (with and without documents) who speak
english PERFECTLY. Even better than some "american" citizens.

As for the "stealing or taking" the jobs. I find that interesting. I
dont know about YOU but.... I sure as hell do not want to work in the
fields... or digging trenches or doing anything of the sort. That is
hard physical labor. And no amount of money would fully compensate me
for the time spend doing such labor. Sorry... Now... If you are truly
wanting to b!tch about the lowering of wages, etc... Then perhaps, your
focus should be on the corporations that have OUTSOURCED the jobs from
the States to Mexico... and now to CHINA and INDIA. You can't blame
the victim for the crime. SHAME!
