The Family of George Louis Turner, 88, of Sanford, ME. has requested the PGR Stand in Honor of their Hero. Mr. Turner passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, March 22, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.

 

George proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. In 1957 he married the love of his life Constance Pike and together they shared 63 years of marriage and raised three wonderful boys. During his working life George was employed for many years as a firefighter for the Town of Reading, retiring after 30 years of service.

 

Visitation will be held from 8:00 to 9:30 AM on Saturday, March 27th at Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home located at 29 Winter Street in Sanford. Me. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church located at 66 North Avenue, Sanford, Me. Private interment will be held at a later date at the Southern Maine Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Springvale, Me.

 

The PGR will stand a Flag line in Honor of Mr. Turner from 0800 to 0930, at the Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street in Sanford. Me
