The family of Philip E. Flagg Jr. has requested the PGR to provide escort, and Stand in Honor of their Hero. Phil was drafted into the Army to serve in Vietnam, which began his 40-year military career.

During his time in Vietnam he received the Soldier's Medal. He flew more than 175 combat missions while in-country.  His love for the Huey brought him to the 112th Aviation Medical Company, Air Ambulance.

When he wasn't flying missions with the 112th, he was volunteering with DEEMI Search and Rescue. Philip also spent many years in Indiana volunteering with the American Huey 369 organization refurbishing the old birds. Johnnie and Kae Walker became close friends of Philip's during his many trips out there. Hueys were his passion and life.

A graveside service honoring his military career will be held at The Maine Veteran's Cemetery 6/23/31 at 2pm

Staging will be at: The Furniture Gallery parking lot, 614 Broadway, Bangor, ME 04401 at 11:45AM

For those coming from the South for Mr. Flagg's escort, there will be a group leaving from the Augusta Civic Center Parking Lot at 10:30.

There will be an escort to the Maine Veteran’s Cemetery, Civic Center Drive. (Blue Star Highway).

Mr. Flagg was a friend a neighbor to Bob LaBrie.  Bob was planning to carry his ashes to Augusta on his bike.  Unfortunately we will be burying Bob on Friday, June 25, please make an effort to attend on Wednesday to help carry out one of Bob’s last wishes
