Dear Colleagues,
The Maine GIS User Group is pleased to announce our Fall Annual Meeting and Educators’ Conference on Friday November 9th at Bates College in Lewiston.
We are still looking for workshops or talks for both education and technology tracks which provide users with new skills or the opportunity to learn about new technology or methodology. The format of talks for our Fall meetings tend to be longer presentations. Presenters can submit abstracts for an interactive workshop or a panel discussion (1 hour in length) or single presentation lasting 30 min. All talks should be interactive where possible and allow time for question and answer and/or discussion. Email your abstract to
vice...@megug.org.
The conference will include a student poster competition. Students of all levels are invited to submit a poster no larger than 44" X 44" highlighting a GIS project. There will be awards for K12, undergraduate and graduate categories.
We are also looking for sponsors or exhibitors, so if your organization or company is interested in exhibiting, let us know as well. More details are available at https://megug.org. For sponsorship questions contact:
