Thursday Oct 6, 2011  7:15AM - Brisk start to a good day.

Hooded Warbler (2) - One on path from Biddeford Pool Beach parking lot to Conference Center in thicket on Conference Center end. Second bird on path to East Point Sanctuary. Heard chip note almost immediately upon entering. Photos are of East Point bird.

Blue Grosbeak (1) Half way out East Point Sanctuary trail.

Beach area was relatively quiet...East Point was hopping with Yellow Rumped, Kinglets, RE Vireos, many others.  Watched a peregrine try, repeatedly, for a Yellow Rumped, over the water. Finally drove bird into water and tried to pick it off there, but the Warbler got up and away, with a story for its Grandchildren

White Eyed Vireo (1)  Shelton Drive, Cape Neddick.....came within 20 feet when first arrived....plus several RE Vireos and a Blue headed Vireo.  Many Kinglets, Baltimore Oriole, others. NO Yellow Breasted Chat

Thanks Luke, Marshall, Leon, Jay, et al
