On and under my feeder this am. I looked up because I saw a flurry of activity when I saw about 50 finches land on and under the feeders when I noticed some larger birds with them. I was so focused on the Bluebirds and the finches flew away so quickly that I didn’t get to notice which types. There were several species but my brain and eyes weren’t working together to distinguish them. It’s been about nine years since I’ve had bluebirds in the yard.  A treat...

The Common Redpoll was here for a while again yesterday but hasn’t been seen since. Nancy thank you for sending the Bluebirds in my direction.

Along with Cedar Waxwings and American Robins around Gardiner over the last week, we have heard, but not seen, one or more Eastern Bluebirds on several occasions.

There were about a dozen robins feeding on the crabapples in the pocket park on Water Street in Gardiner this morning.
