Sorry I couldn't post this sooner; just got back within computer reach a short time ago. My daughter had a great look at an adult Red-headed Woodpecker this AM (5/15) in West Rockport.It was seen on Rte.17, just south of the intersection with Rte. 90. She was heading towards Rockland, and it flew across the road in front of her,landing on a tree trunk beside the road, on the right. She was just slowing up for construction just before the power line.Don, Kristen, others - worth checking out if you're in the area?
