Spring crossbills in Falmouth

I have seen little here about crossbills this spring. But they have been incredibly common at or near my home in the northwest corner of OceanView in Falmouth (upper end of Blueberry Lane). All the spring records were on or near the ground under white pines.

May 7, 2021(today) - Red Crossbill 8, White-winged Crossbill 7

May 1, 2021 - White-winged Crossbill 1

April 12, 2021 - Red Crossbill 4, White-winged Crossbill 8

April 10, 2021 - Red Crossbill 8 (including one variant with wingbars)

March 26, 2021 - Red Crossbill 10

August 30, 2020 - Red Crossbill 2 (during the widely reported outbreak)

December 2014 through 2019 - no records
