Shorebirds are on the move! This afternoon at low tide, scoping Hills Beach/the Basket Island causeway and the pool itself (from Sky Harbor Drive), I had several dozen short-billed dowitchers, 20-25 sanderlings, significant numbers of willets, two oystercatchers, and three whimbrels.
