This morning I saw 2 BwWarblers in trees at river edge (the 1st I’ve seen since returning from Tx Memorial Weekend) and just now spotted a juv GbHeron in a marshy area across from our house.

At 3:15 this afternoon the heron was attacked by an eagle. The eagle brought it down into the river, let go and circled and attacked it again. The heron lifted its wings but could not fly. We went out in the boat and herded it toward our shore where we were able to capture it. It is now at Avian Haven.
