There was a male Barrows Goldeneye in the water off of Water Street in Saco this morning. I saw the bird best behind the Chinese restaurant since the bird was closer to the railroad bridge.

Just a note to add to Linda's sighting.  The spot behind the Chinese restuarant, that Linda noted, is best for upstream birds. There is another great viewing spot, if the birds are a bit further downstream.

When heading west on Main St (Route 9), Saco, leaving the downtown area, you'll cross a bridge. Immediately after crossing the bridge, but before the turn into the train station, turn right into a parking lot right alongside the river. In the morning and early afternoon the sun will be behind you... perfect for viewing and photography of downstream birds. Toward the end of the lot there is a good clear opening.
