Phippsburg, Me Map 6 Totman Cove
Northern Shoveler, either juvenile or an adult female, I'm going with the latter, dabbling on edge of rocks right by my pier, got pics will post later
bird is busy dabbling for food, climbed up on rocks a couple of times. Lone bird. There are 50 or so Am Black ducks and some mallards near by but the Shoveler isn't hanging with them. I've never seen a Shoveler in The Burg, never mind in January!
