Marshall Point SNOW

First reported to me by Kirk Gentalen several days ago,  a snowy owl continues on the ledges off Marshall Point in Port Clyde (the middle island in a line of three.) Given the limited grassy cover on the island, the owl may be hunting seabirds. Recent increases in song sparrow numbers - a group of 7 sparrows at roadside on North Union Road. Also a flock of 350-400 waxwings there. A local bald eagle pair is carrying sticks and occupying a nest for brief periods.

Went to look for snowy owl off Marshall point about 11-11:30 today.  He was first on the North end of Gunning Rock and then moved to the south end of the right hand of the Brothers islands.
