THOSE WERE THE DAYS!

For those of you that don't know, Steve Hampton use to very graciously
and generously open his Beach House to us over in Flagler Beach.

THANKS STEVE !

It was really laid back. You just showed up, we ate and drank, and sat
around and made total slobs out of ourselves for the weekend.

Many a Call Sick was done from that Telephone at the Beach House. As
our good friend Buak use to say, " A Call Sick Is Only Ten Digits Away
".

But anyway it was always a good time had by all. We use to build the
Pyramid of beer cans. And that's where Lenox got the name "Duke". I
will let him explain that.

I started going to then events in the late 80's I think. But then after
that I tried to go to each one. Most of the time they were always
planned in the warm months.

BUT I remember onetime for some reason we thought it was going to be
warm and turned out to be freezing cold and rainy. I mean the wind off
the ocean was chilling. We sat around with blankets on and all the
burners on the stove on for heat.

That didn't stop us from drinking cold beer though.

Beach House events were a lot of fun!

You are welcome, and when I get some time I will bring up some good
stories, like activities OTHER than drinking and eating (ehhh sheff).
The one specific you are talking about was a freak freezing storm back
in March of 1996. That was the same trip when Verke went into freezing
cold ocean -naked- for $20. And yes, I still have the video. And I have
a LOT of other video, some you guys have never seen before. Maybe on
break I can get some of it on this site, -if I can figure out how to
transfer it-

Until Then...

Sure you don't, his name was Bond, James Bond.

James Bond? Well, what I remember of him was a little Hazy. He was a
precious person though. Even though some unsubstantiated rumors went
around about he and I.

Something's from those days I just can't seem to recall.

I think everyones memory on the subject of James Bond was a little Hazy.

What I really want to know is why one of Verke's friends thought
Baderbrew tasted like verke's piss. How did he know what your piss
tasted like?

And let's not forget Buaks Wings. Great Recipe

Ah Captain Boot. Good times, good times. Most of my beach house
memories are pretty hazy as well. I'm told I had a good time though.

Ahhh, yes, captain boot. Didn't we set fire to one of them? I know the
other ended up in Cliftons shower.

Mark loves shit on a plate after his morning shower.
Baderbraw beer.

Buaks Fire,,,, I mean wings. Buak,

Nobody fucks with the United States,,, Nobody. A quote by Jeff Buak.

And we can't forget Ratt Girl.

Sure Captain Boot was funny to watch burn, twice I think. But what
about setting Bader ablaze on A1A. The unsuspecting Good Samaritan
Motorist realized it was A Bader and just kept driving. I'm not sure
there is even a law against setting your friend on fire on A1A. Don't
forget the Predator games and Uncle Fester. "Sherriff Vogel, Sherriff
Vogel, your team is no good, your coach is on crack", blah blah blah,
racial slur, blah blah, doughnut joke, blah blah, you know the rest.

But shit on a plate, I remember that morning, geez.

Fortunately, the closest I ever got to James Bond was sharing a puke
bucket, I'm now glad I didn't look to see what kind of DNA samples were
in the bucket. All I know is he challenged my pukeness and I couuld
not let that stand. There is victory in vomit at the beach house.

I remember calling sick into MO-7, when asked by I was calling in I
responded "Jeff Buak told me to." At the time I think that was in the
SOP.

Hey Orca -

Wasn't it Shira on fire, not bader? Or maybe both. But your right the
car accelerated past, pretty funny. The Predator game was great,
anyone remember the name of the cop who was going to take us to jail
for taunting Sheriff Vogel, he acutally became pretty cool for several
years thereafter.

The best call-in was Orca calling in from the Daytona Speedway at 3:00
AM, and when the person in Control asked what the noise was, he said
his mom was watching racing on TV.

Ahhh, all fond memories. There are so many I don't know where to begin.
I will say I will break out the videos and photos one day, they are in
the "vault" right now. I think of a top list of things I think about
(In no order):

> James Bond v Orca Butt in the "Pukeoff"
> Buak falling over while pissing
> Mel's Headslap to the Fag
> The origin of "Orca Butt"
> Capt Boot Bondfires
> Bader on Fire (yes it was Bader)
> Rattgirl
> Guitar Sing alongs on the deck
> Hair stitches (Erp)
> "3 MAN!!!!!!!"

Forgettables:
> Chicken Wings/Kitchen Fire
> James Bond
> Bader Stopping up the toilet, then denying
> Clifton growing a tail on that plate
> Getting Nathan's Explorer stuck on the beach

Shira paid for the Pizza while on fire. So if I have this right, Buak
and Orca had the fire in the kitchen, We all burned Captain Boot, I was
on fire on A1A, There was the fire from the fireworks in the grass by
the house, Erp burned Cockroaches in the Tiki Fire and Sheffield was
flaming with James. That is a lot of fire. Did I miss any?

I remember setting Bader on fire first. I said to myself, self, if it
doesn't burn thru and burn Bader, it won't burn me, then I thought I
need to know what kinda heat this bunker coat can stand up to, so lets
set everybody on fire and see what happens, cause we were setting all
kinds of stuff on fire @ the acadamy. Needless to say, I went back to
class on Monday @ the Fire Acadamy, I had to do 5 xtra laps on the
track and several sets of push-ups for "abusing" my equipment........
It was well worth it. I still have that bunker coat if anyone owns a
bar and wants to frame it.
