It seems like any key combination that includes "control" doesn't work for me while in Mailsmith. For example a key combination that used to work for me on my previous computer to open stationery. Or one defined outside of Mailsmith to launch another app. What might be causing that?

I no longer remember how I fixed this, or if it fixed itself, but the same problem is back, with a further twist. I use control-M to open a certain stationery file. I can open the file by clicking in the palette, but not that way. However, and this is where it gets weird, the key combination does work if a message is selected, except that Mailsmith assumes I am composing a reply to that message.

Any insights?

I've just assigned control-m to open a message in the browser
and it works fine, so I don't know what to suggest. It might be
worth looking at the universal key shortcuts set in System
Preferences::Keyboard to see if there is a possible conflict.

At a guess, perhaps the "Use Emacs key bindings" option is enabled? (You
can check & adjust same in the Editing: Keypad preference panel.)

I see I have this enabled also — must be the default — but
control-m works fine here whether it is checked or not.
