MS version 2.4.1 (471), GnuPG/MacGPG2 v2.0.28

Trying to sign and then verify a message in a Mailsmith window, and it fails. Selecting the text and choosing Services > OpenPGP:Sign generates a reasonable looking result, but when I select the signed text and choose Services >OpenPGP:Verify, I get an alert that says that verification failed because no valid signature was identified in the text.

The same original text, copied and pasted into TextEdit, then signed and verified, works fine.

If I copy the signed text from Mailsmith and paste it into TextEdit, verification fails with the same error.

Encrypting and decrypting the original text in the Mailsmith window works fine.

Any thoughts?

And, yeah, the title of the post should have read 'OpenPGP'. Sue me.

Also, the original text can be signed and verified in BBEdit as well. Copying the signed message into Mailsmith and then running Verify on it fails, however, with the same message (no signatures found).

This sounds like an old issue with line ending format which we
worked around in BBEdit & TextWrangler but I'm guessing that
change didn't cross over to MS -- nor apparently have the
OpenPGP services ever been updated to address same.

I'll remind Rich to check on this. :-)
