just want it to send an email from a batch file. it keeps stopping and asking for a "." on a new line and then press enter. running win8. the following is what i have in the batch file:      mailsend -to michael...@gmail.com -from michael...@gmail.com -ssl -port 465 -auth -smtp smtp.gmail.com -sub test -user michaelleewebb -pass "xxxxx". to be clear, i just want the batch file to run,no interaction from me.

Your command line has no content to send other than a subject. I suspect that's why its prompting you. How about if you add -M "" to the command line, or include a message body

yes the -M option fixed the problem, thanks so much. i think it would be good if in the examples section you had an example of sending a non-interactive email. this worked for me. (some info was changed).

mailsend -to someo...@gmail.com -from youremai...@gmail.com -ssl -port 465 -auth -smtp smtp.gmail.com -sub test -M mymessage -user yourgmailusername -pass "yourpass" again, thank you
