win2k+xp cant logon to PDC

when trying to add a local account in a win2k or xp workstation
joining the samba PDC I get this error message:

"the trust relationship between the workstation en domain failed"

im using the "add user script" in smb.conf and it works fine. the machine
account is automatically created in the Linux box.

when using the "network id" wizard on win2k or xp and entering the
root user/pass to join the PDC, after that im asked to create a local
account
that join the PDC and that's when the above error message appears.

Please help!!!!!!!!!!
