colors in mutt....

hi all
I am trying to get colors working in mutt. I use solairs 10 on sparc
and my terminal is rxvt complied and one that comes standard with
solaris 10.
rxvt is built with color support because 'ls --color' works fine.
I have a simple .muttrc with some colors in it. when I log on to a
linux machine using the same rxvt, same .profile, same .muttrc the
colors show up (using linux native mutt).
can any one help me understand if linux mutt is different then solaris
mutt in features...
