But I can't make it send mail properly.
I am using ssmtp. The e-mail address I'm using is orthodox [at]
ntelos.net. My username on my box is seth. When I try to send a mail,
no matter to what address, I get this error:
ssmtp: 550 5.2.2 <se...@ntelos.net>... Mailbox se...@ntelos.net is Full.
It seems to be trying to send all mail to this seth [at] ntelos.net
address. For what it's worth, I think there is a real seth at
ntelos.net, but it ain't me. Maybe his mailbox is full, I don't know.
My ssmtp config file is this:
#
# Config file for sSMTP sendmail
#
# The person who gets all mail for userids < 1000
# Make this empty to disable rewriting.
root=orth...@ntelos.net
# The place where the mail goes. The actual machine name is required no
# MX records are consulted. Commonly mailhosts are named
mail.domain.com
mailhub=mail.ntelos.net
# Where will the mail seem to come from?
#rewriteDomain=ntelos.net
# The full hostname
hostname=ntelos.net
# Are users allowed to set their own From: address?
# YES - Allow the user to specify their own From: address
# NO - Use the system generated From: address
FromLineOverride=YES
I don't know if this is where the error is happening, but the error
line begins with ssmtp, so I'm think that's where the problem is.
Can somebody give me a hand here? This is driving me nuts?
