MRTG newbie question

I got FreeBSD, and installed MRTG from the post collection, no problem, but
when I tried to created the config file, I got the following error:

This was done from the man page, which I don't quite understand that well.
The website doesn't have a howto either. What do I need todo to get MRTG
working?
