Hi All,

I have a feeling that this setup is impossible but I wanted confirmation from the experts before I throw my entire setup in the bin.

Is it possible to run freeradius in a docker container and have it authenticate against Active Directory using the LDAP plugin?

I know the recommended way to get free radius to authenticate against AD is using ntlm_auth but to do that the machine needs to be added to the domain. You cannot add a docker container to a domain. So is it possible for freeradius to use LDAP instead to authenticate against AD? Or does the type of encryption of the password in AD make this impossible?

Cheers,

Damon
