Hello list,

I use Mailscanner for several years and happy with the MailWatch web
interface to manage the spam mail.

Recently I want try amavisd-new so I built a new mail server with
postfix/dovecot/clamav/spamassassin/amavisd-new/postfixAdmin with masql
as backend to manage virtual domain and users. I also want to be manage
spam using a web interface, similar as MailWatch or better. I did some
research and found PostVis seems to be able to manage mails. Is there
any other better option? Please advise.

Thanks a lot.

Gao

I have developed such a solution. It's called Hermes Secure Email Gateway. It integrates postfix, amavis, ciphermail into one web GUI. It's designed to be used as a relay server with virtual domains and users. It archives all email on local storage and it will allow you to manage spam right from the web interface. It utilizes a mysql backend. The software is free to use (not open source) with absolutely no limitations. It comes in a vmware appliance form. The only negative is I haven't had a chance to develop documentation but it's pretty straightforward. If you are interested let me now and I'll send you a link to download.

Thanks

That sounds very interesting, and I'd be interested in trying it. Why
make it without any limitation on use yet not open source it? Is this
something you would consider?

Thanks,
