See also master.cf and make sure that the line ending with smtpd has
just smtp is the first column (as opposed to 127.0.0.1:smtp).

That is insane!,
You dont have that many IP's on your server. If you did, then there would be
no reason tohave IP's because yours would be the only host on the net.
You actually want it to listen on the IP's that your network adaptors have.

No, it's not. netstat -an |grep LISTEN and/or read up on just what the
wildcard address is. Please don't spread FUD.

And on some systems this was changed to *.25
Same as 0.0.0.0:25 (all ips and interfaces on localhost)
To stop the confusion.
