Hi Gang,

I'm looking for anyone who has reported success with OpenBSD m68k on
a Centris 650. I've got one, but I can't seem to get any of the 2.3 or 2.4
kernels that I've tried to boot on it. I get a panic with an MMU fault
usually somewhere after the kernel mounts the root filesystem (not always
in the same place). I've moved/swapped/removed SIMM's to no avail. machine
runs MacOS no problem.

Anyone else seen anything like this?

Thanks in advance,

-Bob

Bob,

It seems to me that I have a fragment of memory that recalls a
design firm I used to work for getting two Centris 650s that stated they
had 68040 but really had LC68040 which lack an MMU.

Try checking that your Centris indeed does have a full 68040.
